Bellow pumps

The bellow pump has been developed for build-in and production machines, where chemicals are being processed, an important requirement for this pump is that it has to be leakfree.

The bellow is in fact a pumphouse in motion. When the pumphouse is in motion, the volume within the pumphouse changes. With the changes in volume, the pump can operate. The bellow is positioned vertical with a pressure and suction valve on the top side. The bellow is pushed together, and the volume in the pump will decrease. When the bellow regains it's shape, the volume increases within the pump, causing the liquid to flow into the pump chamber. when the bellow is pushed together again, the liquid is pushed out of the pump through the pressure valve. The suction lies motionless during this operation. When the volume increases again, the pressure valve is closed en the suction valve opens, letting the liquid flow into the pump.

The bellow will move a lot during the years the pump is being used. The material used to construct the bellow is polypropeen. The valves are made out of plastic and are coan-shaped. Because the eccenter is adjustable, the capacity can be controlled.
